Although we could have replaced this series sooner we decided to wait until we found the right carbon and could offer the Perdurable blank finish at the right price – hence the name Spirit Specialist Advanced.
Featuring super slim 40t carbon with the ‘Perdurable’ blank finish as used on the Hi-’S’ and ‘‘S’-Ranges, we have catered for the complete spectrum of specialist angling from the little river rod through specialist float rods to powerhouses for sorting out the strongest of Barbel.

Shakespeare Superteam Distance Feeder Barbel Rod

This Superteam Distance Feeder rod was developed in response to demand from various members of the Superteam. They required a rod that provided additional power and length, to increase achievable distance and casting weight.
The 3 piece blank is supplied with two handle options -12ft (3.60m) and 14ft (4.20m).
In effect this rod takes over from the standard Superteam Feeder where distances over 60m are necessary or when heavier feeders up to 120gms are required.
Although the blank is more powerful than the standard version it still displays the same progressive action that does not lock up. All three tips have been developed to blend perfectly into the carrier section with no sign of a flat spot.
The diameter of the Fuji guides has been increased to help reduce friction and increase the distance of the cast.
To maximise power and leverage during the cast the length of the handle is 50cm from the bottom of the reel seat.

This is the first barbel rod to be specifically designed for floodwater fishing. The very unique blank will cope with just about every situation you are likely to encounter during times of flood on both large and small rivers. It also doubles up as a perfect hit and hold rod for snag fishing where heavy lines and strong hooks are needed.
